Regional Geriatric Program

Beginning in 2001, Openflows helped the Toronto-based Regional Geriatric Program (RGP) migrate from a proprietary platform built on Sun, Netscape, and Oracle to a free and open source system based on open standards. This work involved building several add-ons, including a phonebook, and an extra level of authentication for users. We continued to maintain, host, and support the ongoing activities of the RGP through 2005. What distinguishes this project from others is the fact that the RGP has no technical staff and hence greatly appreciated Openflows’ ability to build complex platforms that can be managed by non-technical users.
